NotW XXXI: Night Three, Extended
There was clearly something fishy going on around here. Although dawn should have broken almost 10 minutes ago, it was clearly only barely past midnight. A deep chill swept through everyone's bones, and the night grew colder. Regardless of their personal warmth, however, everyone was forced to admit that it was still night.
As the council begrudgingly parted for another break, johnhughthom would find that this would be his last. Just as the members had about set on their various ways, the room grew dim and the lights went out. A panic swept amongst the councilors as they scrambled for various torches and candles, an agonizing scream came from the center of the room. Lighting a torch, one of the guards was immediately taken aback by the sight of the proper councilor lying on the floor, quickly bleeding out from a terrible throat wound. Although several attempted to quickly save him, the man succumbed to the ravenous vampire attack and died shortly.
A quick investigation turned up troubling results. In his room, there were several statuettes declaring his reverence for the Order. A local information gathering operation was sent into the world above (which was just as troubled by the long night as everyone else) and it was quickly revealed that the man was...
On his body, a Pinion was found. Brief magical identification revealed that it was, in fact, the Pinion of Truth, a powerful magical item. It would be voted on. In addition to this, his 9 Gold would be added to the pot. That was a total of 44.5 gold.
(NOTE: If you specifically have a night-phase ability, it has recharged. If you have an ability that may be used once during the evening or night, it has not recharged. For the purpose of phase-based durations, this phase counts.)
