Hey! Love, Csargo, Zack, CG, did you guys get any gold from sprig or not?

They all did, but for what purpose do they need to tell you? besides there is no point in revealing anything as it is a classic gambit of accusation, you just sift out what you need to make your accusation and ignore whatever doesn’t fit your theory no matter how truthful and correct. BL excels at it. Notice how his allegation is to make it seem that it is criminal to make a little gold. He seems to think that a blacksmith should not charge for his workmanship. If we were trying to rip you off we would be charging his ability out at 100 Gold per use. Yet we are not.

So if you believe him you should make sure that you are not caught voting any gold to yourself or anyone.

BL reveal yourself and we will happly tell you Seon's ability. But that is not going to happen anytime soon is it? For if you revealed you true self, the rest of the councilors would have you strung up in no time at all.

But I know the only thing I haven't been persuaded to speak out on is the Pinion, I guess that's all right, and Seon or others have missed their opportunity for one Councilor to support them.

NotW XXXI: Day Three

As the votes were confirmed, the council was practically falling asleep. Seon, with a dreadful frown on his face, had long since stopped arguing, sitting resigned in the corner. As the day finally broke, a sigh of relief came from everyone except the doomed merchant. Narrowing his eyes, he stood up, wobbling a bit.

"Don't you see, though? This is just what you do...this is just what makes being a merchant so impossible...I haven't done a damn thing, but the Undercounil never thinks about the people trying to run a decent, fair business - just profits!"

Cracking his knuckles, he sighed once more, and then spoke. "Very well then. Come get me."

...and from behind him, billowing from a crack in the wall, a shape came into view - a terrible, gaseous assassin reached to the councilor, and with a single breath disappeared into the body of Seon, who collapsed first into convulsions and then into silence. It was obvious that...

Seon, the Conniving Taxman, was a Disgruntled Merchant Infiltrator!

It was then time for the items to be decided. First, the Map was handed off to CCRunner.

Then, the sizable sum of Gold was handed off to Disquisition

Finally, Love collected the Pinion.

With all the decisions settled, word was sent to infiltrate the Order. The results would be discussed later, and everyone slinked out to their beds.

NotW XXXI: Evening Four

The councilors shifted back into the chamber halls this day, dismally aware of how poorly their day had been. Not only had the attempts to infiltrate the order failed, but the infiltrators had either been brutally tortured or converted and the Bannor Knights were up in arms on the surface world, their numbers expected to double in the next few days.

The headcount was unsurprising - there were people missing. Winston Hughes and Zack both had yet to show up. With a sigh, the order was given to search for the missing councilors - or, more likely, their bodies.

Both J6 and Niklas had fully recovered from their injuries, and appeared to be in good spirits. Civgeneral, however, had not fared so well - sporting several bandages on his feet, he made a disgruntled, offhanded remark about people leaving incredibly sharp things just lying about.

Before long, the search crews returned - along with Zack - who was carrying the body of the Timid Councilor. Although seemingly untouched, it was clear by the black veins that spread all throughout his body that he had been poisoned or cursed somehow. His hood down, it became clear that...

Winston Hughes, the Fellowship Healer, was a Ljosalfar Recon Agent!

Zack too looked as if his ordeal had been eventful, although he looked mostly unharmed aside from a few bruises and scrapes. He had clearly been involved in a fight of some kind, which it appeared he had come out of the winner. Looking stoically across the field of councilors still present, he narrowed his eyes, but said nothing. Taking his seat, he waited for the session to commence.

Winston had possessed no useful items at the time of his death. The Merchant, Seon, had possessed a Protective Amulet. It would be voted upon today.

Although the Taxman had mysteriously had no gold upon him at the time of his death, the Healer did. 13 Gold would be up for a vote.

I think it would be a sensible idea to vote the amulet to someone who's been attacked and injured. Clearly, someone wants to do them harm. Niklas has already had one item voted to him, so how about Zack?

Diamondeye, only because that's clearly false outright. You voted for choxorn and are tallied under choxorn, and seem motivated by nothing but greed. If somebody has better leads on who the threats are I'll change this and go along, but this Councilor's hostility towards everyone is not appreciated.

That is correct as far as I can see, Diamondeye. It would be odd of you to make such an obvious lie, though.

And all you people accusing DE, that's called a mistake, not greed. Earthling's logic most certainly does NOT make sense

Omega124, what of Earthling's post is actually logic? And isn't that a little fast to be bandwagoning? I can understand why Earthling would want to set me straight (perhaps even forcefully), but I cannot comprehend your swiftness in voting second.

I will of course be satisfied by a proper explanation - and in that case my vote will be withdrawn.

And a protective amulet would very useful in these trying times, I think I'll lay a claim on it, for now.

Disquisition has too shared gold with me. I don't think he's motivated by greed. I also don't think Zack should have the Amulet, because clearly he can defend himself. Seems like a waste, doesn't it?

Since I revealed an entire Infiltrator faction yesterday, I feel I am the best candidate for the Amulet. I also accuse Sprig for lying about his motivations. It's obvious now his merchant faction is not here to benefit the Undercouncil.
