Now THATS what I call a start location!

Hey people, check this out.

Starting an epic game on huge map, I wasn't to happy to be presented with this for a starting location! I think I was partly to blame, I did mod the game so that all 31 civs are placed on the map, so I guess there wasn't enough room for everyone.

I wonder if I should continue the game...

At least you have a one tile Grassland island.

Build your city and combine the worker with it. Then just rush for Map making and pray.

You can't be conquered until the Medieval Ages (since the Scandinavian Beserkers are in it). If you survive that, you won't have to worry until Marines. So actually, you have an ok start position, the only hard part is keeping up with techs and expanision.

why not? at chieftain you research and build faster than the AI, then you build up a massive amphibious force and take their cities and start populating on their continents.

OK you crazy people, here's the save. It's on Regent difficulty, with all victory conditions on, and you are the Romans in case you didn't notice. There should be all 31 civs on the map so it will grind a bit later on. Other than that the standard conquest rules.

This makes it that little bit harder!! I can just imagine the other civs running away in tech and winning by space race while I'm still in the Medieval Age!!

I'll give it a go as well, why not! Post your high scores here!
