NVIDIA versus ATI/AMD on Civ 4

I note in the intro graphics promotes NVIDIA, does this mean the game is more tailored and coded to NVIDIA as well.

I am considering a new card and may choose a new NVIDIA over my existing ATI 4800.

This mattered in 2005, it does not mattered now at all, for example an AMD E-350, basically AMD's version of an Atom has a better integrated GPU than the best performing Geforce 7-series chip going off passmark
