Odd thread URL

Recently I came an odd URL adress for a thread

The bottom ones are diferent from the top. Yet when I post it it comes out like any normal URL http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?threadid=75681

I think that the s= blah blah blah is something to do with "session=" :- I presume that this is some sort of verification that you a re logged-in user for determining what buttons etc to show.

But that's just speculation

Hmm, I was going through the threads and got forced logged out so that might have something to do with it.
