This thread is for elected officials to post notices of their planned absences from the game, and where appropriate instructions on who shall fill their role.
I am not an elected official but I am going to risk the wrath of the legal gods and post my absence during the first Turn Chat of Term 2.
I know, I know, me attendance is only required if the DP is not going to be available and there are others in the chain of command who will take over if that becomes necessary. But I wanted to set a good example.
[edit] Gah!! I really thought the TC was Wed 7:00 MST. Well It turns out I was three hours late for the TC (today!) Alas.
My computer is sick and I will probably not be here to post an instruction for the current Turn Chat. There are two proposals before the Senate and I would like to officially appoint the Senior Senator to post the instructions to the TC instruction thead if the votes are completed in time.
In the unlikely case of a tie vote, I cast my vote in support of the proposals as written to break the tie.
See the Government:Term 2 Senate thread for additional information.
I will be abroad with not yet assured online connection from the 15th (morning) till 17th (evening) GMT. If the turnchat instructions thread is not open by the time I leave, I will give my instructions in the Audiac thread. Thank you.
I will be gone for Easter vacation from Friday, April 9 till Monday, April 12. I'm not sure that I will be back in time to post instructions for the April 12 turnchat.
Sorry to all about being absent this first week of term, but I haven't had time to do much online AND I can't find my Civ CD. Also, I will unfortunately be absent the remaining three weekends this month. So, I offer my resignation and invite President Furiey to appoint a replacement if he wishes to. If he does not, I will still try to provide TC instructions if I find my Civ CD.
Sorry I am posting this late, I will be immediatly absent until Sunday(May 23rd). I am very sorry. I will try to post instructions soon but dont count on it.
