Ok guys... how do you find a time to play games?

but I like strategy and RPG games and leaving them for prolonged periods of time, makes me forget everything and makes me wanna start another game or play some more WoW :/

How do you guys do it?

Theres your Problem "World of Whorecraft"
Stop playing its (very polished and shinny) crap

A disregard for clubbing, sociability outside of work, deprevation of sleep, not enough exercise and cutting back on the work I do outside of work.

Even still, not enough hours in the day for gaming! :D

Lunch breaks, stay in the office late, at night when wife & daughter sleep, sometimes when stars are aligned and time is favorable in the weekends when my daughter sleeps a nap and my wife is busy...

Pathetic...

Don't sleep for a few days.

I agree with that. When I get hooked with some civ type game, I MUST play 1 or 2 hours a day. So I sleep less, and cut off social activities. Anyway, I can do this only once a month. The times when I could sleep 3 to 4 hours a day are far gone  . Usually I do some gaming (up to 1 hour) on weekends.

I take one day a week where I don't do anything but what I want to do. That means not only no work/school/whatever, but no running errands, no returning non-social calls, no doing the laundry, etc.

It makes the other six days of the week much more hectic, but I've found it's worth it.

Now, having said that, I still rarely play games anymore. Part of that is because my computer is very old (AthlonXP 1800+, ATI Radeon 9600, 512MB RAM) and won't play the cool new stuff (so I still haven't played HL2 either), but it's also because I just don't have the same interest level in it that I used to.

I have recently started up a new game of the first Half-Life, and it's still a blast. But when I have free time, I'm much more likely to watch a movie than play a game these days . . .

For example?

I'm thinking of playing one one of these days...

Well its kind of old but, i always liked FFXI. Its a completely different game though, not as easy. You cant solo as much but i like it better that way.

Its much harder and rewarding then WoW and the community is more mature.

As you know very well, I already have 9 or 10 accounts in that game and have donated some money as well. :p

In any case, I have just bought WoW vanilla... :scared:
