Is there any website that contains old newspapers and articles from places like the USSR, PRC, India, and other countries during the Cold War and preceding era's? It would be interesting to see what people were printing about events back then. Looking at how the Vietnam war was published in the USSR's newspapers or how the moon landings were reported in India.

There probably won't be websites, but there might be some databases. If you live in one of those countries, or near a university where they study those sorts of things, you might find these papers on microfilm.

The New York Times has a pretty good online archive.

If you're anywhere near London, The British Library of Newspapers and Periodicals in Colindale has a huge archive on microfilm, computer and originals going back at least 250 years.

How I understand, he wants more newspapers from non-western media. Well even if something like it exists, it surely isnt translated to another languages. Archives are obvious choice, but still since you dont speak Indian or Russian they are not worthy for you.

IMHO tis much more possible than you will find on internet videos, for example on youtube are many News from invasion in 1968. Maybe you should even find some news with English titles.
