Curiosity piqued.
 
This random great prophet thing is killing me. 260+ faith and not willing to be born. Too bad to waste more faith so I decided to buy a missionary.

Worst number i got is 186. Both sp/mp games. Seems pretty unusual.
 
I'm a few turns waiting on my first, so stop complaining! Only one religion left, will it be Danish, or whoever else is left.... :dunno:

Soldier rank isn't relevant for now(i'm close 2nd). The question is : Who gonna reach navigation first?
 
Both actually. I have some ships to protect myself, and I am spamming CBs to upgrade them as soon as I get machinery.

As for navigation, I will definitly beeline it once I feel conformtable enough.


Not like Man-o-War are any useful on a water map, mind you.

Ugh, I hate that about naval maps. But I guess it's do or die!

History will show that NOT going Nevigation is a costly mistake in water map. LB are so immobile when cities are scattered on different islands. It's also impossible to join in an alliance when situation calls.
 
As england, with the bonus +2 speed to my embarked units, I feel confident in my ability to move around between islands.

I have 4 tile range now, 5 with astronomy and 6 with navigation.

I still agree that navigation should be reached ASAP, but machinery is much closer than navigation and 3 range longbowmans do wonder vs frigates.

Good point. You also need iron for frigates. 3 civs have iron so far(if i remember well) and they all already played a huge naval game some month ago :mischief:

Yes, Dutch has irons!

William suggests Dido making the Dutch people as your first target, because the Dutch people will not hesitate to jump in and help defend our trade partners if any of them is attacked.
 
Yes, for Iron, I have two possibility: Either steal it from Carthage, or settle a useless snow city for two iron.

Maybe both, we will see.
