Onan's Speed-Optimized GMR Game

Ask and ye shall receive.

Askia does not know what this screenshot you speak of is Foffaren, but we have our personal historian following us in our glorious reunification. He has made a drawing of the battlefield as well as a miniature drawing of the world and politics of it as we know it. Askia does not believe in hiding our strengths and weaknesses and has revealed an open policy for all our enemies to quake and tremble before the might of the Songhai (and laugh at our low beaker production and poor happiness!)

Congratulations to Askia in so quickly 'reuniting' your greater empire, and gaining unquestioned control of the southwest. We look forward to the reestablishment of fur supplies from your newly controlled areas. There is no doubt who the 'true' Songhai are now!

Our Chinese neighbours need not fear our military. Indeed, it has been and may continue to be an instrument of their liberation, and we trust these acts will ensure our alliance continues on into the future.

Additionally, the Senate wonders if this gift of Songhai intelligence will mean Warsaw is immediately annexed by Egypt!

Congratulations Islandia!

Oh ho! Aztec diplomacy, or rather propaganda, is not as dead as we were led to believe! A spirited defence of Tenochtitlan, with 3 xbows and 3 longswordsmen (well, there were three of them!) is now in its second season.

A picture will follow, once the censors have been satisfied. Glasnost has not yet reached the Empire.

We note also that Egyptian culture has claimed some of the disputed animals for their own small nature reserve, as they are too far for any Egyptian cities to work. Come and see the wild cows, people!

Here is the true battlefield, rather than the Songhai Killing Fields.

One of the Aztec longswords has fallen to a concerted attack by Roman Knights. Though the first knight was seriously injured, and the second will likely fall, the Aztec lines have been broken, and the city walls are already taking a beating. :ar15:

Vercingetorix will avenge the latest Aztec atrocity, the burning to the ground of the Russian city of Yaroslav'l. We mourn with our comrades, and channel our grief into revenge!

My capital is pumping 40 hammers per turn thanks to a rushed Ironworks with a ge. He produces a new unit every 2 turns. 2 other cities is more like 4-5 turns each. 3 new units will appear next turn. Hurry up!!!

The first civ getting Tenochtitlan will be granted of the magnificent GW and will ensure him a greaat defense for years to come...unless i'm resisting again.

It's a good thing I didn't wait any longer, or your defenses would've been very difficult to breach. And if I'd backed off, either Russia might've been swallowed entirely.

But yes, it may be a close thing. There is a rumour in the senate that your armies have been partly funded abroad. The Great Wall is certainly slowing the Roman blitz and allowing our units to be peppered with crossbow bolts!

Hurrah for a good fight, though!:goodjob:

Not Egypt, we will not Betray Ceasar and his senates.

From Roman and Songhai intelligence reports, it seems that the two inner Egyptian cities are still mystery. We will post later our troop position near Warsaw for the fair publicity.

Yes, not even our scouts have penetrated your mountain stronghold.

Hopefully this new era of information sharing leads to a new era of cooperation and peace between the great powers of our world!

Huge capital EEE_boy :goodjob:

@Onan : I killed 3 of your units. I'm stronger than i tought :)

Sounds like it could be getting ugly. Maybe you'll hold after all. Laid a trap for me, ey?

[party][party]

Vercingetorix will be hailed as the conquering hero he is when he returns to Rome. The Senate has already resolved to create a holiday honoring his name, and perhaps also honoring the following peace with the Aztecs, if it comes.

Children of Tenochtitlan, we will treat you kindly, and end the blood rites that claim so many of you. For those who wish to continue honoring the old gods, animal blood may be used.

Tabarnak: offer us peace, and we will accept it, on these conditions. Any units not retreating will be killed. We realize the great wall will slow your retreat, but it should still be clear which path you choose. Also, settling the former site of Yaroslav'l and the Russian dyes there will be viewed as an act of war.

We inflicted light losses on your troops, with one exception: your general is no more. And Tenochtitlan is now under Roman control. The Great Wall, Himeji Castle, and our army should ensure it remains that way.

Continuing the war would be folly on your part. Come, rejoin the community of nations. You may still have a role to play on the Great Plains yet. You have ample room to settle more cities as well. Think of the fruits of peace.

If you accept these terms, we believe the terror of the east to be at an end, and the bloodthirsty Aztecs to have been fairly punished for the transgressions of old.

We await your emissary.

Congratulations to Romans!

Warsaw has been annexed into Egypt. Since Songhai is at permanent war against Warsaw, they should be indifferent to this event?

Ugh that peace deal was lame. I'll get over it cause my weekend kicked ass.

Im scared to see my other games.

Yeah, Tab jumped on the AI peace offer. I figured it sounded like you'd taken a beating anyway,so it might be okay? Let me know if it isn't...tho they're not turns I'd really want to revert.

:wallbash:

Peace? Monty got insane and decided to sacrifice his troops! I will fight until last breath(and i don't want to stick around this game much longer with a weak civ).

Russians need reparations for the easy peace deal from the AI. I will give him my non capital city in exchange of half the iron stocked underneath.

And now Onan got the GW...gl for the other civs into this bloody but fun adventure.

Sorry Tab, I think I went too far into role playing in this game and became paranoid into propaganda that may lead to others gang up on you in the early game. I should be the one to blame for your loss in this game. It's mostly because you're such a good player that it takes more than myself to compete with you alone. I had most fun when I joined the MP community half a year ago with you guys, but I realised I probably was not considerate in my wording that may not be comfortable to other player's feelings, so I apologize to others as well in the meantime.:(

Anyway, we are greatly impressed by the bravery of Aztec warriors :goodjob:

Nah I am ok with it. I have 2 more afk's in August so any AI silliness is my own fault. I do believe the early war was a big setback for both of us.
