We are being abit nasty to him but he deserves it in a way because of his rule questioning...Site Feedback seems to be much busier lately...

I second that motion.

As for NU_, well, you disgust me. Anyone who would suggest I "lay off" a known Diplomacy cheat and two-time game-welsher who refuses to accept responsibility for anything but takes half his day to add woes to those who do take some responsibility on this wonderful forum, well,

that person should be banned too.

It's the right thing to do. Only with a long time, alone, in silence, without a computer or computer people to talk to will Pellekan realize that only HE can change his situation.

I am quite sure that pore Pellekan's style and content is very tiresome to a large number of posters. He would not be invited to a fuction that centers round scintilating conversation. I have three children and am therefore more calloussed and tolerant about young persons bemoaning their situation in life. It is boring and irritating but does not require much in the way of repsonse, and should not attaract a volume of abuse. I mostly concur with the if it bothers you, just ignore as much as you can policy. He will grow stronger and better fitted to other posters tastes as he gets older.

Ah, Richard, look at where friend NU hails from.

Hint: It's identical to Wheimer and Pel's location.

And now there appears to be nothing listed in the location area. At least you know he is reading your posts. :)

Let's leave NU_ alone also...no picking on other CFCers.

But what about self-defence? What if I'm only trying to protect my little children - namely, the two young, innocent, newborn diplomacy games that Pellaken welshed from?

(I have a bit of welsh in me, so I can call it that. And if you've got a problem with that, well, I've got just enough mick in me to make something of it [punch] )

I mean, hey, there's a blacklist for Civ Diplo game welshers. But the trouble is, we don't have enough AH CFC Diplomacy players yet for a similar blacklist to make a difference. So I'd just get FFox to blacklist NU_ - whoops, I mean Pell - but not enough people will see it to produce the shock reaction that Pelly - whoops, NU_ - clearly needs to have the fulfilling life we all want for him!

I'm just trying to do the right thing here!

Good luck in figuring it out, but posting in Site Feedback about it really won't help you out much. If the Diplomacy mod doesn't care then don't worry about it.

Edit:
On review of the fact that I am the mod for Diplomacy forum (who would have thunk it!!) I have no problem with talks of it going on in the Diplo forum, but I still feel that Site Feedback is not the palce for it. This policy stands until TF or a future mod changes it. and no I am not going to post it as a rule...let's just keep it nice and keep name calling out of it.

If they have the same location then I would expect that Pellaken had some influence over NU_'s posts.

What does welsh mean in this context?

In this context:

He committed to two different diplomacy games, and then bowed out of each a few turns in without any legit excuse to do so.

Diplomacy is hard to organize; you have 7 players (and in the modern game that Pelly walked out of, 11) and the withdrawal of anyone of them at a bare minimum stalls the game while you go hunting for a replacement. It probably radically changes the feel of it as well, since a new player might not be so ready to keep deals already agreed to, for example.

Hence, diplomacy players are strongly urged not to sign up unless committed for the full game. But Pellaken is inconsiderate enough that he just signs up, and when things aren't as he would like them, he walks away.

Hence welsh, from the old bigoted expression, "to welsh on a deal," similar to the equally bigoted "indian giver" phrase that is more popular in the U.S..

My many apologies, but, what did it say in the location? I have not changed it, and, as far as I can remember, it is/was always blank. Unless someone with authority changed it for me.

What did it say?

NU_ I would drop it. If you keep posting in these threads started by Pellaken the more people will believe you to be him.
