One Last Hand [WW/Mafia, Play In-Progress]

Card Sharps and Card Sharks are different names for identical things - i.e. a player skilled at playing card games, especially through cheating. Card Sharp is the preferred term in British English, whereas Card Shark is the term most commonly found in Canada, America, and Australia.

Where is our beloved GM? I feel that there should've been a reveal.

Night 2 is over.

As the number of players dwindled, and both of the more famous players were out of the running, the game slowed down a good deal and focused more on long-term payoffs than big hand wins. Gradually, the game began tilting to favor some players over others, and one pile of chips in particular started dwindling something fierce. Eventually, it reached the point where they couldn't call, and had to go all-in or fold. They tried their luck...and lost. The player sighed, stood from the table, and wished their competitors the best of luck before making their way off to other parts of the casino.

Topsecret is out of the game. They were the Gambler.

Day 3 begins now, and will end in ~48 hours.

Where is our beloved GM? I feel that there should've been a reveal.

EoN/BoD was ~32 hours ago, and ends in ~16 hours. There's been a lot of talking in that time, I'll grant you, to the point that I had to check to be sure that it hadn't been longer than I thought, but it's not been two days yet, so there's still time for people to deliberate, theorize, and vote.

Stupid me, I misread the post from EoD - I'm so used to having threads lock up at night from Mafia Universe.

Back onto the track, then:
FWIW scum just means mafia/wolf, it has zero negative implications in this context.
Except for that part about me calling both of you scum, i.e. mafia. ;)

End Of Day 3

As the long day of cards and gambles drew to an end, only a few players remained at the main table...and there were about to be even fewer. One final hand saw every player go all-in; on this hand, the game would end...one way or another. One player laid down his cards with a chuckle, only for his face to turn a lovely puce when the next guy laid down his own cards, a much better hand. The man said through gritted teeth "I think you cheated, slick. No way you legit got all the kings in one hand, 'specially when I'm sitting pretty with a house o' faces."

"Hey, it's statistically near-impossible...but that don't mean it is," came the jovial reply. "You lost, fair and square, and you got no chips left. Skedaddle, slick, so we can get on with the game." He didn't notice the angry player draw a gun...at least not until a shot rang out and pierced his chest. The shocked man fell to the floor bleeding out from the hole in his heart, and despite the best efforts of those nearby, they couldn't save his life - although they could certainly take vengeance. The sore loser and the corpse were taken away by the police...and then there were three.

One of the remaining players cleared his throat. "So, uh...I believe that this wins the hand?" he says, before laying down a royal flush. "Unless either of you has another one like that~" they added with a small smirk. As the other two players gazed stupefied at the cards, he raked the chips over into his pile. "Look like y'all are out of chips, so guess that means I win. Better luck next year, eh?"

Snerk died, and was the Sore Loser.
Takhisis died, and was the Gambler.

The game is over. The undercover casino employees won.

Apollo's Extrails: Ace Up My Sleeve

topsecret: Gambler
Xym: Gambler
Yakostovian: Gambler

I think the wolf roles were really appropriate. Sorry about my acting on day 3. I recognize the fact that most people tend to believe someone is going to lose regardless of what happens now if they act like a sore loser. So I acted in that fashion. So I doubt day 3 was that fun for you guys, but I hope you did have fun. I don't know why topsecret revealed an impossible scry result but he did. So the sore loser, was ensured to be my ace up my sleeve.

Day 3. 2 town still alive next is night phase. I get a night kill I kill one of them, and then day 4 begins. 1 town, 1 wolf. I win no matter who I choose to target I would have won

If you have any questions about the wolf side you can ask them. I'll amwser them the best I can.

So, if Yako had voted for Apollo, especially after Snerk's self-voting should have raised alarm bells, the game would still have been going?

GG, thanks for hosting it, AvatarK! Things got a little overly mechanical as all the scries essentially outed (with Apollo's help, mind you) us as wolved D3. That plus a constructed Snerk lynch to secure the win with my bomb ability made things very, well, mechanical. But I enjoy mechanical games like these. Was fun even though I didn't have that much time to commit to d2 and d3.

Thanks for the game, Avatar. :) Glad you did it. Now it's time for a new game to start sign-ups. :D

So who did you target, Apollo?

I was killed N2, which means I was actually useful to the town. That's a new feeling for me :p

No one. I targeted xym night 1, and recognized the most probable scries, all implicated me more so then if I didn't do anything. So I scry blocked no one night 2. Topsecret you were night killed since our biggest "evidence" on why Snerk can't be a sore loser is your scry results. Since that would have been impossible if he was a sore loser
