Since your capital city always starts on the coast (almost always) it's extremely hard to keep corruption down once you really start expanding. Other than that, Seafaring is becoming my favorite trait..:)
 
I think it had to be that way. I wouldn't like it if half the time you started inland, so I think its necessary to make seafaring start on the coast.

On Archipelago setting this doesn't make much of a difference, however. And Archipelagos, after all, are where Seafaring is truly useful.
 
Oh, I like the costal thing- I just wish it wasn't so hard to move the palace. Whoever is Seafaring and Scientific might have it easier- use a SGL to rush the palace.
 
Lately I've been building the FP right near my capital and then moving the palace whenever I get a leader. Works pretty well.

IIRC you can use a military GL to rush the Palace/FP.

That will be Byzantium. (oddly enough, Firaxis don't consider them Religious but thats for another topic...)

Military leaders can rush the Forbidden Palace too.

And the corruption won't be so bad.
