Brazil: Don't beeline for culture or Brazilwood camps. Your uniques will pay off in the end, but you have a hard, jungle filled, uniqueless road ahead of you to get there. Every other civ has an advantage over you in the beginning. Play your early game with that in mind. Culture can't stop armies. Play balanced.
Sweden: be freinds with EVERYONE, and rush for the leaning tower and the like. Then use your Carolinian's to steam roll anyone who isn't your friend at that point :3
Egypt: start tradition, take aristocracy and build all kinds of wonders. Get oligarchy social policy and have a composite/crossbow garrisoned. Occ wonders and great wall.
AMERICA -- Use the extra sight to your advantage - build at least two scouts and find CS's and CIVS as fast as possible and steal their workers -- you will have a massive empire built on slave-labor in no time. Seriously. Try it.
Aztecs: Pick raging barbairians. Don't build a scout, but rather build a second jaguar and use him as one (unless map size is large or bigger). Then just spam jags, open honor, and start killing barbs! You don't even have to clear the camps, just kill all the units it spawns. You can complete tradition and liberty, or tradition and honor if you are going for domination.
Sweden: be freinds with EVERYONE, and rush for the leaning tower and the like. Then use your Carolinian's to steam roll anyone who isn't your friend at that point :3
Sweden: Take Warrior Code and adopt a highly aggressive play style. Gift excess Generals and captured Prophets to city-states, especially mercantile and cultural, in order to ensure your economy can support your war machine. Don't even bother with the DoF bonus, it's marginal and the things you have to do to get it are not worth giving up the advantages of total war.
The Netherlands: Try to get 2 copy's of all your luxuries, and then trade one copy for whatever you want(money or another luxury or a strategic resource) and then one of the following:
Money: Keep doing it and watch your empire become rich
Luxury: Basically repeating the strategy
Strategic: Build an army. Conquer the world. Until no one wants to trade with you and your army sucks because all your strategic resources are gone.
Venice always go tall. Build national wonders asap. Wait for city states to build infrastructure and grow before MoV buying them. Always go commerce+big ben. Both freedom and order offer good bonuses for civ.
