As Term 2 VP and president of the Senate, I would like to start a thread for the discussion of cash request. There is an independant thread for Slider Discussions here.

Like Donsig, the VP of Term 1, I am starting this thread in the hopes that it will be used throughout the game. Senators, present and future, please use the contents of this thread to formulate and vote cash request proposals.

I also invite citizens to provide information applicable to cash requesitions and links to relevant discussions where necessary.

Sarevok posted this request to the Term 2 Senate thread. I feel it more properly belongs here.

I am now approacing to convince you to allocate some of our gold to upgrading a few of our warriors (5, mabye 10 of them for now). The Ministry of Defense and the citizenry is getting increasingly worried that Babylon may launch a sneak-attack soon, and I want to make sure that our armed forces can meet the challenge.

Anyone wish to comment on this proposal before I bring it formally before the Senate?

I will check on our current cash reserves and post here ASAP.

[EDIT] My secretary miss-typed the good ministers name.

Yes, definately upgrade while we have the iron hooked up. Iron can deplete.

  [16:45:15] <!Chieftess> Taxes 0% / Science 100% / Entertainment 0%
  [16:45:15] <!Chieftess> Current Treasury = 317 gold ( -2 gold per turn )
[16:45:15] <!Chieftess> Researching Republic. Will discover it in 16 turns.

Sarevok, could you nail down more exactly how much you cash you need? I will need a number to bring before the Senate.

Yes. Provide the money for upgrades.

We have the cash, we can get more cash from trades, we can't hurry improvements with cash, we can't increase research. We don't need to hoard it.

More money for the coffers please ;)

CivGeneral waits for Chieftess to pop in a Civ2 Trade Avisor's quote ;)

I would say for now roughly 120 gold, likely smaller than that. The extra is a precaution.
120g would upgrade 4 warriors to swords. Is this really the most we want to upgrade?

yes, we have a big army (compared to my games by now) and if it was upgraded it could be a strong army.
