Yes, you can have a MGL after getting a SGL. They're 2 different leaders.

So, I'm playing my second game of C3C this morning. I knew about the SGL, loved the concept, and couldn't wait to get one. And pretty early, I do! But I'm looking at the unit, thinking WTH is that?!? Finally, I realize what it was and rushed the Great Library. . .

So. . .has anyone tried increasing the science output in a city? Is it worth it? Seems to me that I'd rather have a wonder. . . .

Just to try it out, I saved the game where I got a SGL and tried "increase scientific output" ( I think it increases the output in every city). But at that point the increase wasn't worth it and I built the Great Library...
But I think, especially in later stages where you can sell techs for a very high price, it's worth it.
