Only Superpower

In my game i am the only remaining superpower with 6 other nations. I also have the biggest army. I currently hold over 100 mech infentrys and over 200 modern armors. Also i have over 50 ICBM's and taticle nukes.

My problem is the game stops being fun when i get this powerful.

Because of this i sold a quarter of my land to surronding nations and provided economic aid. I am currnetly giving 50-100 gold per turn to nations so they can build a army to protect themselves from me and surronding nations.

THe only problem is that this aid is doing nothing to help these nations execpt increasing their capital.

What else can i do to make the other nations more powerful so i can have fun agian?

give them the technologies you have that will allow them to build their military. If you've already done that then I'd have to say you'll just have to wait for the AI to catch up - or start another game.

It sounds like you've learned how to beat the AI on your favorite conditions. Try playing to different conditions perhaps disable conquest/domination and go for cultural, diplomatic or space race victories or increase the difficulty by advancing another level, try an archipelago(sp?) with max water, have max civilizations or a combination.

Move up a level (or two) in difficulty. Start a game with everything set on "random". Play OCC. Start with Raging Barbarians. There are lots of ways to avoid boredom in Civ 3.

why dont you try one level up? belive me, it will make things a little bit harder, you'll see that you wont build all the wonders, you'll be back in tech and lack of maney, besides that, everyone will be annoyed with you although you have done anything to them and finally every time you trade they will ask for enormus quantity of money

i would go on a rampage and whipe them allout, win via domination if poss, as tyhis often gets the biggest scores. then start a new game on a higher level.
