orbital strike causes units to swap

My rocket artillery is adjacent to a tile with an enemy satellite above it. This tile also has a friendly unit on it. Choosing orbital strike and clicking the tile causes my artillery to move into the tile and swap out with the other unit unless the unit is out of moves or told to fortify.

Don't need to set up to shoot down satellites

Anyone else notice that when you select the AOS option with a unit that has that ability - you see the red highlight showing the hex in range for the AOS, but then when you click on the hex to perform the strike, your artillery or whatever makes a move into that hex if it is occupied by one of your own units with move points left.

They swap positions.

It's become frustrating because the only way to do an AOS is I have to waste my other unit's move by moving that unit out of the hex so that my artillery unit doesn't move or swap into that hex.

It seems even with he AOS option highlighted and the hex lit up in red, a click always translates to move rather than target identification

I was hoping there would be another way to target the enemy sat, but clicking on the sat does nothing. So I end up always, always wasting my other unit move by moving them out first, then do my AOS.

Oh nice, didn't think of that. By chance Ive had units that expended all their mp be ok to click into with my artillery for the AOS, so i guess fortify does the same thing. Thanks for the tip.

I have done this over and over and over. It's so frustrating and I can never seem to remember this and I'm constantly repeating that same mistake. Maybe I don't shoot satellites down very often so I don't think about the units switching. But for the life of me, I can never remember this bug when I need to.

I can verify this is still happening.

Probably related to the issue where units in a tile you move to are automatically selected.
