That looks great! BTW, have you guys seen the Simpsons episode where they go to China, and a dragon offers Homer a wish if he gives him his peanuts(?) and he only gives him one, so the dragons end up singing and crying rainbows?

I remember that - nearly died laughing when the dragon sings "The man who made a dragon cry."

@ Orthanc, This unit looks really amazing and it's so original. I'm really looking forward to the final product.

I think the wave is backwards. It looks like the tail is moving up and down and sending the waves forwards to the head. It should be the other way around: the head should be moving up and down, and the waves go back to the tail. I think I would make the waves less pronounced, too.

[EDIT] Actually, come to think of it, either make the waves less pronounced, or have more frames of animation so it's a bit smoother.

Alrighty, toned the waves back down to something, normal, got the head moving, how's it nowz:


@HunterAnubis: The arms are attached to the body, and so can't not move with it, so I just folded them in some.

I'd say its perfect! it looks strange cause he's not moving. But that animation in movement will be IMO amazing!!!

Wow, thanks for the suggestion Quinzy, I've used more than 12 frames before, but look at how different a 14 frame render looks!:

Catching up on the posts, I was about to suggest he slow down; looks like a couple of extra frames took care of that. Can't wait to see some of the other animations!

Try putting 5 sec frame delay.

Just a thought: maybe this really slow wiggle, but side to side, for the fidget; and Partizanac's suggestion for the run.

Another light bulb (maybe not lit): For the fortify could he be partially obscured by a small cloud?

Actually the frame rate of these two previews:

Is exactly the same, the difference is number of frames, because POV Ray was given 2 more frames to work with in the 14 frame render, each frame contained less change than it's equivalent in the 12 frame render. But time between each frame change is identical.

@Blue Monkey: I was wondering what to do for the fidget, and I think some cloud involvement would do the fortify well.

Adding the extra frames makes it look much better. Although the movement size is the same it appears more pronounced and smoother.

Now it looks great only thing that bothers me is the tail maybe it shouldnt move that much looks strange to me. Its like waving hand but rest of the body is great so I sugest to decrese tails moving rate (just dont put it so high and low)
