Hey Orthanc, do the shipyards have anything Arabian on deck anytime soon?...I need an Arabian ship to match the Dawn treader(and Swanship, which BTW looks great next to the DT...they are almost exact in size)...

PLease note: this is not a request...just an inquiry...I have ships I can use, I just wonder if anything fresh is coming soon...

Well after the hardcell transport, and the Shinra sub, I've got a Roman Transport to do, then I don't have anything planned yet. Though I did that Barbary Corsair Galley, and the Dhow, those are fom the same region (mostly)...

What are you after?

I think the Barbary Corsair is the one I have...Im not looking for anything specific, tho if you are taking a request, I could gather some pics...

I just need an Arabian ship that is like the Dawn Treader, both in size, and "style"...maybe not style, but genre...for example LoTR(or are they WH?) ships, just look a certain way(angled sails...etc)...my point is, I want them to "match"...if you have seen the Swanship(I think you might have made it...), it "matches" the dawn treader...

[edit] I looked at the Dhow, and it doesnt match, I think it was too big...I cant remember, but I remember I didnt like it in the line up

Aaglo made the Swan Ship, I guess they do sorta match. The Dhow doesn't because it has a lateen sail and no fun wingy-things.

Yeah, might as well make it a legit request, put up some pics of what you're after, I've some space in the to-do list for the moment.

Awile ago, I made concept art for mesoamerican ships, and aaglo turned them into fantastic units. It would be cool to have a mesoamerican ship-of-the-line, or even a Galleass. Still am loving that serphent sail image Aaglo took from AoE. Anyway, just some ideas.

Another idea is an ancient egyptian style Frigate..

I could use any kind of small modern ship in BfNY. I was going to request an inflatable raft, but I think I'll try that one myself.

ok...start with this as a basic idea...but cut the swan off...


make the front more like this(and make the deck more resemble this one):


with a figurehead based on this(ignore the arms...in the book its described as "Vulture" headed):


Here is the Standard/Crest of Calormen (for use on the sail in whole or part, at your discression)


it doesnt need to have wings, but if it had ""vulturelike" features, to match stylistically(sp?) with the Dawn Treader, that would be great(all I can think of is a black, featherlike hull, and the head on the front be sloped down, like a vulture:


Finally, Calormen boats are primarily used as slave transport...there are no cannons, only arrows...

Funny, that first pic is the unit I'll be doing right before your request. Alright, so what are we gonna call this thing?

thats dead on...just what I had in mind(roughly sketched...nice one)

the angle in the pic could "lean" 5 degrees or so, so its rear is farther up...


Oh and the flag should be smaller triangles...like signal flags

Well, looks like I'm busy again. I'll take the meso-american (that'd be like Aztec right?) ship-of-the-line for now, I think I might come up with some pretty fun stuff for that, but if there's something more specific you've got in mind, well, you know what to do.

Aztec ship of the line circa Orthanc sounds cool...
I would also like to get a larger African ship...Galley - Galleon sized...I'll come up with pics(as soon as Im sure to get on the list)...There were never Zulu Gallies as far as Im aware, so this would be fiction/fantasy
