I teach in a college in the North east of England and a couple of my students has just worked out that Col on CivFanatics is in reality their very own Physics lecturer.

A conversation naturally then ensued on the relative merits of different civs, how to win on higher levels, differetn approaches to vistory. You know the kind of stuff.

Some time later another member of staff asks me why I'm talking to students about the merits of whipping, ethnic cleansing as a good tactic, and why domination can get a bit boring......

Love Scarborough, been there once as an exchange student years ago. never realized there were such blood-thirsty teachers there ;)

Bet those students don't have a problem passing this term. ;)

I wish I had a professor who played civ, especially a history professor. Then the lectures would go "After Rome won the third Punic war, they turned thier attention to Americans who had vast spice resources near thier newly taken city of Athens."
