Been staying at my daughters so I just got this. I have sent the file zipped to see if that is any better.

Just dropped by to say that my old computer packed in. I tried every known method to revive it but to no avail. Each day I thought I had the solution and so it went on.

So at last today I got delivery of a new notebook with windows 7. So now I have to learn how to install civ 4 on it.

I dunno. There is a problem with the save from Hawklord to onemoreturnmike - hopefully we can sort it out without dropping one of them from the game.

I have resent the resend. Just realised that this had stalled.

OK, if it doesn't speed up we need to kick someone. Either the sender or the sendee. If the sendee can't open it, send it to a 3rd party (slaze perhaps), if he can open it we kick the sendee.

It still comes through as a diferent file. I have no idea why it would suddenly start doing this, but it does...so something chnged from the beginning of the game to now.

Well there is nothing else I can do with the file. It goes out correctly and if it's zipped the e-mail clients can't change the file extension. Although I've had problems with sending stuff to aol before.
Maybe if I try attaching the file here.
