I think that I was a bit rude when commenting other scenarios on the subject of midieval Europe! Sorry about that!. What I meant was that none of the scns depicting Vikings and their culture has been any good, and I´ve tried them all, believe me!

So if anyone got offended, could you please forgive me my mistake?

If you tried them all, what did you think about my scen "Hammer of the North"? -And do you have any suggestions for improvements in the next version?

In case you haven't tried it, you should give it a shot. I know it's not perfect, but I think I succeeded in capturing the christian horror and frustration of the viking raids, to some extent. What I've always missed in a scenario myself, is pure violence, where you can get away with it.

What is needed to make it really great is a reworked tech tree (the existing one is working, alright, it just didn't achieve everything I wanted), interesting events, and a reworked objective/playbalance system. If you tried it, I'd appreciate your feedback.

Well, there you go. I guess I´m sorry again. I´ve actually never played "Hammer of the North". I was´nt aware it existed. Can´t believe I missed it. Well, I`m downloading it and giving it a try of course. Right away.

Another good choice is "Vikings - Across The Ocean" by Mathias Köster. It is in the medieval section of the CivFanatics downloads...
