Patch questions/problems

I bought C3C off the shelf back in December, and I've -finally- decided to patch it. Anyways, which patch do I need? Do I need 1.22, or is there another one I need before 1.22?

I tried to use 1.22, but it messes with my game. Whenever I start a game, on the civ selection screen, "random" for a random civ says "DIFFICULTY" and whenever I play, the year is always Week 0, *insert year*. Also on the main menu, sometimes multiplayer and the options below it have weird names, like "Civ returns treasure on date0".

Any reason why it's doing this?

1.22 is the latest patch - you just need that.

My brother had the same labeling problem as you too - I fixed it by adding a few entries and deleting a few. Try a clean reinstall and then patch to 1.22.

Alright, installing the patch now. It asks this:

An option you selected requires that files be installed to your system, or files be uninstalled from your system, or both. A read only file, C:\Program Files\Atari\Civilization III\Conquests\Conquest.mb was found while preforming the needed file operations on your system. To preform the file operation, click yes, otherwise click no.

Do I click yes for this, or no?

I would say yes. I hvae the conquests.mb file too, so I guess it's included with the installation.

Okay, I reinstalled and patched, but it's still doing the stuff from above..is this something the patch does, or am I doing something wrong?

The "DIFFICULTY" with random, and week 0 stuff only happens when I try to play the Conquests. It doesn't do anything when I play through civ-content or new game.

Does anyone know how to fix this labeling thing? It's kinda annoying..and I need this patch so I can play in PBEMs and such.

just uninstall c3c, reinstall, reinstall 1.22

I've done that like three times though. The labels are always messed up. It's messed up in the Conquests:

Middle Ages, Sengoku, and AOD. Other wise, everything else is fine..I might have to manually fix the labels.

Alright, I have fixed it.

I downloaded the patch off Civ3.com, and it worked, rather than downloading it off www.download.com.

Maybe there is different language version in www.download.com...
