Patch was supposed to decrease backstabbing?

apocalypse105:

They should war less on the higher settings. A lot of players who complain here only have experience on Immortal or Higher, so they don't know the whole story. The AIs' not nearly so warlike on King. Gandhi's positively cuddly on Prince.

Lol I play on King and my brother plays on prince And we both have the same problem AI is to wierd...

Just like i mentioned hole global politics scream is in the red olmost impossible to get friendly relationships Now signing a decleration of friendship isn't a good thing but suicide and you aren't going to tell me that the developers thought it was ment to be like this...

Olmost every 10 turns i see a decleration of war and denouncings maybe i am overeacting but still its is going fast.
So why should i sign a decleration of friendship

The idea is great I love it finding a comman enemy denounce him find comman friends but if the Ai just change its mind constantly well yeah it doenst work

Why in the world would Genghis be a 3?

Guys, it's a bit hard to discuss the meaning of some numbers in xml if we don't know how they're used. For all we know the numbers might get subtracted from 10 and so they're all backwards, or they get put into some formula which makes these values by themselves of not much consequence.

El Caballerion, you ask why Genghis is only a 3? Maybe it's because there are several factors in play and an aggressive or expansionist leader doesn't necessarily need to be a deceptive one (i.e. I don't know). Purely from my experience with civ games and nothing from real history education, I'd expect Catherine to be highest or equal highest on the list.

Then again, maybe Optional knows more about the numbers than I'm giving credit.

Well, think about the downside to deception. You are giving slightly sweeter deals to your enemy, and that's basically it. Makes sense to me that most AI do it, though noobs could use a little more warning about it, as well as a warning that the advisors aren't always very good.

i got backstabbed in my first WOTAW game and dow by two nations. luckily i had a few units and was 9 turns from win. Actually, that was my first backstab ever, and ive played for over 300 hours.

Really, the only way the AI can ever beat you is at war, or if their traits are suitable, buying out city-states and out-teching you for science victory, or diplomatic victory by building UN (Alexander). Even so, the AI will more often or not, wipe the field with every other AI and you on the map 99% of the time. Backstabbing and hating is built and bolted on the Civ 5 engine. It's predictable, and annoying, but that's life hehe. :D
