roster is full
to start the game monday Sept, 3rd.

senguko scenario based game.
level of game - monarch?

ideally - 4 human, 4 AI.

level of players - all welcome, but probably a good idea if you know which way the spear points ;)

basic rule - HUMANS ARE AT ALWAYS WAR.

Arathorn’s comments: Adds about 1.5-2 difficulty levels. Games usually take significantly longer. Once you’re past the “Can I hold my front?” stage and making progress forward, it’s usually won. Approximately doubles the time required to play.

you can trade on the FIRST TURN you meet a new civ. at the end of that turn WAR IS DECLARED!

i would also add a NO TRADING EVER between HUMANS.
but id like votes on that.
 
ah...maybe I can play...but if there aren't enough biters in the near future...or if the roster isn't full by that monday I guess I can jump in.

i think we can say that the only "major" rule should be, report truthfully and fully.

since we dont have a reputation to keep, and are NOT allowed to trade, and MUST self research everything....
i would not hurry to raze.
that added science and coin, goes a long way.

Not a sign up, I screwed up my scenarios when installing mods one time and promised myself I'd never try screwing around with my C3C again :blush:

Sounds like a fun game though :D

1. A couple of good units in Sengoku are hidden nationality. What rules will you set about reporting HN attacks?
2. if this is AW without trades, I'd extend that to AI's as well. Anyone finding a stray AI for big time trades late in the game would unbalance the power equilibrium.
3. Any restrictions on units? Yambushi's come to mind ... but if everyone reads their tech tree it shouldn't pose a problem as it is known by all. AI's can't efficiently cope with them though IIRC.

Conflicting. :confused:
Often, in AI AW games, there is an initial "snap shot" trade round for the first turn but you must declare before hitting enter. This is impossible with humans though.

id go with reports such as "unknown bandits have attacked, suspected Miyoshi Ronin!"....

trades. - NO TRADES. EVER. WITH ANYONE.

units- if you can makes, smoke 'em!

blaze - trade options. see above :D :stupid:

Hidden Nationality should be report like a normal attack.
Uesuga ninjas attacks a date samurai spearman. Or the Ronin
in the employ of Lord Oda has razed Kyoto.
Things like that.

I could go with no trade with AIs.
But I would also allow the demand for a tech on the first turn.
Then declaring war on the second.

I hate this defensive unit. It has long range unrestricted movement & can pillage.
Lets restrict this unit to none. That is if all players want to.


Please Beorn-eL Feared gives us some more thoughts. I'd like to hear more about the Yambushi idea.

let the AI build it, while it is BANNED BY BUSHIDO CODE for humans to build.

cities are also :ninja: infested.

if youre arrogant enough to leave your cities ungarrisoned, you dont deserve to keep them.

also lets remember this is AW.
you only hold on to what you guard. heavily.

those invisible ninjas will make this very fun.

Easiest way is none: no trades, no HN, no invis, no yambushis. The invis units are kind of a trademark of the scenario though, and they have a nationality IIRC, so they're 'allowable' in practice. I'd advise for none of the 3 others although allowing yamabushis as static (never moved) defenders could make it useful enough to be stared at while useless enough to make you think twice about it. Definitely interesting but you could go both ways.

Then, it's AW, so there is little more to comment. AW at Monarch on this map will not be too much of a hassle for players since AI's can't dogpile you to hell, they have other humans to deal with. Power should escalate fast enough so this should be a very intense kingmaker game.

I would like to try this out if the open spaces are still open
I like the rules no trades, no HN, no invis, no yambushis and racing allowed - rules.
Any clan will do for me as long as I'm not put on the little island in the SW

Regarding rules I'd prefer no trades ever to reduce luck factor.
I'd take a random clan.
