They have a party of two warriors marching towards a reception committee of promoted swordsmen, axemen, and archers.

The French send a seemingly unending stream of troops and, occasionally, settlers to replace the town we sacked.

Our troops are stuck on a hilltop forest, forever needing to heal,
but at the same time steadily building up their experience.

2 miserable gold seems scant recompense.
We finally acquire a healing promotion.

Setting up the logistics and supplies for the attack on the main French towns is becoming a little tedious.

oh well....

We take Orleans,
and the French are coerced into a large tribute payment for peace.

We complete the Heroic Epic, and start to upgrade our forces.

Now the Germans are crowding our newly acquired Orleans,

The majority of our melee units have been upgraded to Maces,
thanks in no small part to French tribute.

receiving notification of the end of the peace treaty with the French.
