PBEM problems

Several friends and I are trying to start a PBEM game. We are all fully patched, but 2 have PTW and 2 C3C. I was under the impression that C3C players can join a PTW game, but can't create it.

The C3C player and I can get turns from the PTW players (who start each attempt), but they can't open our completed turns. Is there something we're doing wrong, or is it just not meant to be?

Well, for those of you that have C3C, you will find that it came bundled with PTW. Browse to your Civ3 directory and you will see that you have a PTW subdirectory. In that is the PTW exe file: civilization3X.exe.

Might as well just play the PBEM using that.

I certainly could, if I had the PTW disc. I was under the impression that C3C users could join in PTW games, however, was this an incorrect impression?

You don't need the PTW disk! Your conquests one will work.

yes, i have a legitimate copy. I mean, Firaxis deserves money for such a good program, but anyway, shall take a look at it

Thank you for linking to that thread, ainwood. And yes, I have legal copies of CivIII collector's edition, PTW and C3C.
