PBEM THE GREAT WAR - Div Level

Well guys do I replay Eric's Week 35 save or not???? I was behind on several games so I'm going to work on those and hold on this until there is a definite decision. Sorry about this but I'm just a little sensitive on playing my turns in this game since I had been slow in the past. Within 48 hours I played the save Eric sent me and forwarded on....JUst for the record. And I double checked my save folder...and the last turn I had saved there was Week 34. So the one I got from Eric and consistent with with my last save file....Week 35 was the correct save....

Redman, I would say to just take the turn u have, play it and send it.

If - by any chance - is a repeated turn... well, too bad!

It's better to repeat a turn than to stall the game forever.

Well I am almost recovered from my computer failure a week ago. Apparently the major MS security patch was being downloaded while I was watching baseball on my computer and the demand for memory was exceeded despite having 2 gigs of memory!!! The download thus froze and I was unable to free things up with Ctrl Alt Del. So I did a hard shut down. Which apparently toasted my registry. I just got my Restore disks from HP and have had to do an entire HD Reformat. So I'm in the process of reloading my software. Will be working on Civ3 next and hope to be back playing shortly. Appreciate everyone's patience. I will be posting this in the seveal game threads I'm currently playing. Thanks!

Do I have to replay my turn or Aksully? If I need to replay all my victories near Belgrade will be gone! :( And don't if I can accomplish it again..

Plus if I replay, Drendor II, Luthor, Drendor, Loulong, Eric A and Aksully should also replay.

What do we do?

I propose the following: Eric sends Sully his latest file and then Sully plays it (or replays it, whichever is the case) and that we GO ON with the game!

Is this 'Oll Kright' (OK) to all?

Having difficulty getting the right files loadedl Trying to retrieve Luthor's revised Biq and text files so I can load Eric's save.

Could someone send me the .biq, art, and text files they are using to play TGW? If I cannot get this scenario to work by the end of the day then I will need to drop out. Sorry, don't want to but don't want this to be held up on my account any longer. Thanks!
Oh other scenarios I've added new since my PC crash have worked fine! This is the only one that's causing me fits!

I would upload my entire TGW-DIV folder to my web server for you
but I am having DSL troubles at home right now. I can only get on the
net at the office.

Thanks to Eric for allowing me to download his TGW...it worked! Completed my turn and when saved opted to Week 34. Hopefully this will put the game back online and moving. I have had 2 weeks of frustration recovering from the PC crash that was related to the MS patch and its incompatability with HP PCs. I'm still reloading programs and promise to use my Backup utility more frequently!

As to the turn...the Germans are threatening Nancy with at least 3 Armies and probably 30 other Divisions!

French forces Killed an R Division east of Verdun and an A&R Divs near Nancy.

GPS to Redman

I feel akward when it comes to replay the turns.

2 corps were destroyed for the french on the west front (week 35 or 36) and 1 russian corps +5 cossacks died on the eastern front.

All German victories will be gone if we replay.....

Well I don't know what I can say about this...I used the save Eric sent me and play it and save it. Sorry, but I really don't know what to say. On another note...I did notice that when I started my turn and checked my techs...I was missing two. Any thoughts or comments????

I think that this game is too messed up to continue.

With all delayed turns and now this problem with wrong save games I have lost the motivation to continue.

Thought I was dealing with experienced players here....

This has been a tough game to be sure Drendor. I certainly apologize for the delays caused by my PC crash. But I'm going to call you on your last statement..that wasn't called for.
Now if we want to restart the game and agree to move it on smartly...I have no problem with that. Or we can just find a replacement for Drendor and continue along.
What do the rest of you want to do?

Yes the delayed game was not just because of you. 6 turns in 4 1/2 months is pretty boring. I dont know if it was because of lack of intrest in the game or if it was because of real life issues.
I had to express my disappointment

I could try a new game, eventhough I will probably never be able to repeat the huge initial success of having sunk half the british navy and bleeding the french army dry of units.

If we restart i suggest we name the saves with ONE system and name the files something like "GreatWar1" "GreatWar2" etc The week thing was confusing and I think i saw errors when I examined our game reports in this forum (ppl wrote the wrong week)
