After I demanded them to retreat their troops (consisting of a warrior and a Javelin Thrower) the Mayans declared war on me.
By coincidence I planned to do the same soon.
Funny enough is that while being in the Industrial Age my Numidian Mercenary - by defeating a Mayan warrior - initiated my Golden Age

I guess I should be commenting more. Here goes:
Aztecs are almost done. It is nice to have horses (an Ancient Age resource) now that the date is 600AD+. The beginnings of my national railroad look good, though I have a long distance to cover. I hope the Hittites don't capture certain cities from the Iroquois before my trade agreement is over.
