The Byzantine Empire has formally issued a Declaration of War to the nation of Greece.

A vet warrior attacked the Greek capital Athens but the surprise attack was unfortunately repelled by the defending Greek Hoplite. An attempt to pillage a luxury by Dromond was also unsucessful. All in all, a pitaful start to the campaign......

The nation of Greece is outraged at this act of aggression by the Byzantine people.

Greece calls on the rest of the world to institute a trade embargo against the Byzantines, to show our intolerance for such actions, that would devastate world peace.

Another pillaging raid by a Byzantine Dromond is unsucessful. The captain appears to be very inept at scorching the Greek lands, and seems more likely to set his sails alight.......

.......the Greek laughter can be heard far from shore.

Maybe it was a change in the wind, or the maybe the Gods now smile upon the Byzantine navy. The stench of singed hair and burning sail cloth has been replaced by the scent of smoldering fields. The Greek laughter is heard nomore.....

2 tiles successfully pillaged by Dromonds. The greek capital Athens is now cut off from the rest of the Greek empire.

After seeing the sinking of the Byzantine Dromon the second Captain wisely beats a hasty retreat from the Elite Greek Galley. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Greek Empire, two braver captains spew "Greek Fire" upon the coastline.

Another tile pillaged, and the Greeks lose a much loved source of wine. This must surely make the Greek people unhappy.

My conquest disc has broken, I have already ordered another copy , but it will not be delivered before 4th August.
