Hello all and welcome to the Prince Cliche, I am (I Think) Your host, Civmonger! Pardon my french but let's kick some butt this time! This is set up to be a War Game. And thats why I have chosen Boudica, one of the best warmongers. Her trait-combo makes promotions easily attained. Plus, this will help me with my struggle to be a good warmonger.

Random Events are OFF!

I did not include a WB save, but people used to normal should be okay.

Here is the start.

And here is the save.

CivIVMonger, could you post larger screenshots please?

I told you.:( My computer won't let me download photobucket...:( I don't get it. It also locks my ENTIRE BtS directory for "Safety" reasons. So I cannot upload any IU games Student of Monarch or anything else...:( That is why I barely post these games. Because I can't do it right due to bleeping vista.

You don't have to download photobucket. You upload to photobucket and get the address of the image. It's like opening an e-mail account
Type the
code. For example, you want to post the image hosted on http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu284/bonixavier/winnable12.jpg.

When you add the code, it will look something like this:
[IMG]http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu284/bonixavier/winnable12.jpg
It's really easy. BTW, in the time it took me to respond, I started a game, took the screenshot, opened a new account in Photobucket, uploaded the pic and posted it here.

Will try!:) Though you might see a new PC game coming up sooner than one might think...:mischief:

Hey, at least you can take pictures...I play on my laptop (it's my only computer) and I can't, or at least have yet to figure out, how to take pictures!

Ah, why not – quick shadow. It's Boudica, so the obvious answer is destroy everyone, but I always seem to go that route, so change of pace - playing Boudica the peaceful culturehog. Everyone else will win by conquest or domination, so I'll go for a nice lazy 9 city religious culture win.

Spoiler :

Settled Bibracte on the ivory to get the rice in the BFC. Decided to go religion first, which meant warriors to start as well.

Lost my scout to a lion. More religion:

And HE unlocked by barbs - I never did build it though:

When going the religious route, the oracle-theology slingshot is always nice.

Which led to this:

From here, I automated workers the rest of the way for speed. Justy and Augustus quickly got to friendly sharing religion, so I barely built any defense until rifling. Charlie was busy with Justy the whole time, so I didn't worry about war with him either. Oracle and some temples led to priests, which meant shrine time:

And a religious game wouldn't be complete without this:

Settled 9 cities total, enough to build my three cathedrals in each culture city. Still important to go the lib route:

Then decision time - shut off at rifling or head up the chain for electricity, mass media, radio for some culture multipliers. i decided to head up the chain...Golden Ages speed that along:

And some extra artists in my three cultural cities:

And spread culture missions are fun in 3.19:

I eventually flipped that city. Zara thinks he's coming with a surprise attack:

Except I've been building rifles, and his "stack" consisted of 5 cannons, a treb and a couple grenadiers. Nothing a dozen rifles can't handle. Finish this during the war:

And Zara can have peace for a tech - not going to matter:

Shortly thereafter, I entered a defensive pact with Augustus, which essentially ended the game. No one would DOW the two of us. I had to sweat out one UN diplo victory vote 5 turns before legendary, but Augustus couldn't get enough votes for it. All done:

Builds and three cities. I took a half hour break in the middle, so this was a nice short 90 minute game.

Relatively peaceful game - I had a total of three casualties the entire game. Except for Charlie and Justinian constantly warring, there was only one other war I recall, when Zara dowed me. I did get to have some fun with the AP, gifting one of Justy's cities back to him 3 times - each time Charlie took it, the AP gave it back.

I also defied a bunch of UN resolutions at the end - I had 15 unhappy faces at one point, but didn't matter at 100% culture.

Two of those three culture cities really were mediocre cities, but with modest diplo, it was a pretty simple win.

Holy crap, dude! You beat that game in, like, 3 hours! :goodjob:

It was really more like 90 minutes. I had a couple breaks to take care of a few other things along the way. I'm trying to automate more and more, pre-select techs and use the governor to speed things along a bit.

Games are super fast if you automate workers and don't declare war. Unfortunately, most of my games seem to involve much more warfare.

You did well, thought it WAS wierd seeing "Boudica the Zealot"!

So an hour and a half then? Damn, it usually takes me at least 4 hours to beat a game. >.>

Are you playing on normal speed setting? If so, then unless you are a micro freak, than your games should be faster paced.
