warlord level... with vikings... probably accerated production knowing you. Sounds easy considering you can hold your own in monarch as the spanish! What varients have you stuck onto the game to chalange yourself?

No challenge at all Hygro. Well, its archipelago which I think is a challenge, but the plan was to get a fleet of berserk filled galleys lined up and recreate the glorious viking days in a way not so easy to achieve above warlord level.

Don't know if I will go back to it though since Sirp has convinced me another monarch level game I started is winnable...

Sween32 has been banned for 7 days for starting a thread called "Should I Shut Up", which was a parody of threads entitled "Should I change my name" gannon, and "Should I change my avatar" Zarn. Therefore for one week, or until his sentence is shortened or suspended, you'll have to PM sween to communicate with him.

Boy, I tell ya, there is a conspiracy to stop this game! I have the save, I'll play now. Sorry for the delay, I was playing CG5 for about 2 hours - Industrial Age, LOADS of units to move. I'm off to play now.

BTW, "FREE THE PIRATES" was not a parody of all our "Free Sween" titles. It was quite unintional. Its a joke in my class, but I realized how it sounded mean, so I'm back to good ol "Free Sween".

Sultan and I have both posted in it so our "fair and impartial" moderators will probably ban us.

Once this PBEM is finished I'm thinking of moving to Apolyton premanently as I am sick of biased mods.

Check what Lt. Killer says about patching- Elden doesn't have the American version, so there may be serious compatability problems. Personally it matters not to me.

The Aus version is more than compatible - it's identical - no difference between the two (except on the box there is an aussie phone number rather than american for hints etc.)


P.S. - With us getting banned so much do we want to start a thread for this PBEM elsewhere perhaps, so that we can all post.

The reason I picked CFC is i find it has the nicest layout, the most convenient interace, and has great moderation in the civ3 related subforums.

Apolyton has more pop-ups that CFC which is a quick turnoff, and I am more or less used to this place. If I want information I know exactly where to ask, etc.

I doubt the bannings are going to be that big of a hindrence in practice. Yeah, we started without Toasty, and now we are without Sween, but for the majority of the game I think everyone will be allowed to post.

The only reason I suggested 'Poly was because with us all anti-war we are at permanent risk of banning here.

The last reported was Gannon sending it to Toasty, who is not banned. I guess we'll see...

EDIT: Anti war won't get you banned. Just follow the correct procedurals. The moderators come down harder on peaceniks because they expect more from us as the more intelligent and refined side....
