Peacemonger PBEM

My new civ preferences:

1) Rome
2) Japan
3) Egypt

P.S. To revert can we just use 1.14 patch on 1.21 or will we have to reinstall ???

Uninstall 1.21 if you have it that is all.

-I thought you could see the level set in the set up in 1.14.

-I am all for accelerated production.
 
go into add/remove programs

then go into add remove programs, find Civilations III 1.21f and remove it (it's really PTW 1.21f but it looks like civ3)

then install 1.14f
 
Elden, are those choices in that order, (i.e, you want Rome more then the others?)

I'll just reinstall and patch in a different directory as I don't want to risk losing mods etc

Looks like all we need is Gannon's Civ preference to set it up.
 
Yeah I guess so... I might change from Mongols.... I'm debating hard.

It isn't - It won't let me install in a seperate directory unless I uninstall original - What do I need to do ???
 
Elden if you just inintall 1.21 you won't lose anything else.

Are you 100% sure (I don't want to have to risk redownloading Teturkhan's 50 MEG scenario)
 
I am 87% (just a random high number) sure that everything will be ok.

However, if you are really worried, just move the Teturkhan's mod to another location on your harddrive.
 
No I am totally sure the patch doesn't do anything to hurt save files or mod files.

DONE and UNINSTALLED

PROBLEMS
- Still says 1.21f as version ???
- Aus version came with 1.14f already installed so I dunno whether I've deleted it to or not and if I have where I can get the patch ???
 
What version of windows do you have?

All I had to do was uninstall Civilation 1.21f from the add/remove programs list under control panel, and then reinstall 1.14f (or in your case, leave it alone is it will revert to 1.14)

I did uninstall, I'm just not sure what version it is now because it still says 1.21f in game.
 
I think it is worth just trying it as is, Elden. I am assuming Hygro will start up the game, you could be the first turn after him, and if it doesn't work for you we will go thru more measures to fix it.
 
Odd... :confused:

Although you've informed me you uninstalled it, I'm going to go through all the steps incase we are miscommunicating.

First I hit "start"
Next I hit "Control Panel"
Then I click "Add/Remove Programs"
After that, I select "Civilation III 1.21f"
To finish it off, I select "change/remove"

Are those the steps you went through?

If so, I'm not sure how to help you.
