:scan: :borg: UNIT IDEA!!!:D
On this site I found an idea! According to an article in it, it says that the Spartans had a secret police, called a Krypteia. I was thinking since war weariness might be tough in Spartan Oligarchy with all those helots, this could be an expensive unit designed to reduce war weariness and make those helots happy...OR ELSE!:mwaha: Is this a good idea...Maybe..Yes, No???:undecide:

The Krypteia was a secret group of Spartans that had an important job. Randomly and without reason, they would have to kill a Helot. Every year, Sparta declared war on the Helots (they looked for a sign from the gods too) so it would be legitamite.

I think it would make a nice WW reducing improvement (maybe a Corruption reducer).

You could also add "Police" as a citizen unit (and probably a Spartan specialist as well).

Civ-specific specialists??? C3C, right? I'll get it one of these days... Anyways, I'm gonna have to make a Krypteia wonder... A unit may be alright, too, if it required the wonder...Same with specialist...

The corruption-reducing Policemen are unique to C3C, but I thought civ-specific specialists could be added before. Maybe not (then I can't guarantee it is in Conquests).

Units can be generated by the wonder, I don't think specialists can (but they can be from the same tech).

I'll get to work soon, as it is, i just got C3C the other day and... ;)

Ah, okay, Xen! Remember, Most people don't have Conquests, so don't make a Conquests map...We'll work on a PTW version now, then maybe after the Christmas holiday when most of the CFC populace gets them!;) Remember...PTW, not Conquests...How is it, btw?

GREAT :)

Xen, I can't contain myself any longer...I'd like to pick up your work for the week, then you can work on it again...I just haven't been able to do anything for the scen, and it bugs me, since I'm the one to start it!:undecide: Besides, it gives you a week to enjoy C3C...Then you'll work on it again after the week...I'm also eager to see the completed territory for myself!;)

If I may add a suggestion, I think you could make the islands of Samos and Chios their own sepreate nations/city-states/etc... They were part of the Delian league, but built their own ships and weapons, which were donated to the Delian League (or Athenian empire). Even without the Delian Leauge they could support their own army, unlike smaller island states. They also revolted against Athens as well. Just my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck on this project! :goodjob:

Having the Samians and Chians independent would be good if they could be forced to start out as enthusiastic Athenian allies, who may or may not eventually get fed up with Athens and rebel. But unless C3C gives us new possibilities in this regard, I'd rather lean towards keeping them under Athenian control.

can some one say locked alliance ;)

@Amenhotep7- give me a few more days on the map ;) I wanna at least complete some more of the Athenian teritory

actually, I forgot to mentionm if anything Amnos should be a major PART of the Athenina empire- after its rebellion, it was conqoured by Athens, and stuck so loyally beside the city for the duration of the war, that it was granted actual Athenian citizenship

Alright...I just like to do things, too, since I started the project!:rolleyes::crazyeye:

well, its not as much fun, but start getting all the civlopedia enteriesm if your so eager to work ;), also, the scenario will require a new tech tree...

Yes, I know...Could anyone help in the tech tree dept.??? I'll make a rough draft one of these days:rolleyes: But I'm not quite sure how to make it proffesional...I have some pedia entries...I'd be able to add more about the civs if I knew exactly whic civs there are there.:p:lol:

If you post some ideas (it would be a big help if you show a sketch of what you want the tech tree to look like), I'll see if I can think of anything to fill the gaps (Not sure if I can, but I'll try).

Page 3 on this thread, Louie.;)

As I see it, the chief attraction of independent Samians and Chians is that they might turn against Athens, which they can't if they're in a locked alliance.

Not having C3C yet, I do not know exactly how locked alliance work, BTW. Would it prevent the islanders "betray" Athens by signing a peace treaty with the Peloponnesians? If not, I guess I'm in favour of independent Chians and Samians anyway. If yes, I still don't see too much point in it.

A Locked Alliance is a permanent MPP.
