Pendragon Mod

Added custom Civilopedia entries for leaders to the OP, just take the files and drop in the appropriate places (XML->Civilizations or XML->Text) and it should work. I'll integrate it into 1 download later but for now, it's basically a little patch if you'd like it. :)

EDIT: Credit goes to wiki for all of the info, I might try to contact the author though...

You mean Wikipedia? You might wanna start every Civilopedia entry with:
(from Wikipedia.org)

Ok, made the appropriate changes to the text files and will integrate it into my next version, to be realeased either today or tomorrow after I try to fix the scenario I made (I have to set the spawn points or the civs can end up on the center island).

EDIT: Set fixed spawn points in scenario but game crashes upon loading said scenario (set positions pretty much copy/pasted from 18 civs but obviously changed values to reflect the map.)

Yep, here you go, like I said, almost exactly copy/paste format from world 18civs so I don't know what could be going wrong.

The problem that that's for vanilla, I think that the values are changed for BTS. Try generating a huge map with whatever script, go into WB and click "Save", and name it. Open that WBS with notepad or whatever. The start of the file should look like
Spoiler :

Something like that, and you can use TMIT's map guide to help you with other defines. Then you can use WB or another program to edit it into however.

Ok then, I'll look into that and probably have the next version out tomorrow or the day after with leader civilopedia text, a new world wonder, and obviously a new (working) scenario :).

Ok, updating the file now, I wasn't able to get the scenario to work yet but I'm still trying.

Included in the new release:
Custom Civilopedia entries for each leader
"The Convergence" world wonder

Soon to come:
Civilopedia entries for units and buildings
Civilopedia entries for the empires
Custom Diplo text
Anything else I can think of or that is suggested (provided it reasonably fits the book series, adds balance, etc.)

I'm glad you're enjoying it :). Have you noticed any balance issues that need to be adressed? Also, in the latest version a very powerful Oracle->Flumes->convergence slingshot is possible. Maybe you should try that out and a) see how fun it is and b) see if it needs to be slightly less fun for balance sake ;)

Some of the UU's(Librarian, Lifelight Operator) don't actually have unique bonuses. I think Ravinian inf.+artillery make a really powerful combo(22 strength and cheaper than regular infantry). The problem is with convergence is that 1250 hammers early game is 2.5 times pyramids(i.e a really big investment) and I'd rather spend that time building up cities. Even medieval it's still difficult to find time for it(assuming no great engineer). Only in the modern eras does it make it so that it becomes plausible to build it in a reliable period of time. I can also help some with pedia text if you tell me where to put stuff in.

Hmm, I thought that Lifelight Operator had double production speed, in the XML I changed something like <iBuildspeed> to 200 instead of 100. I did realize that the Librarian didn't do anything though, I'll probably just make it cheaper or able to fight or something to compensate.

I'm glad they do, it provides a bit of accuracy due to the fact that the Ravinians took over nearly every territory by force and were quite effective at it before the story was completely resolved.

Ah yes, I forgot to adjust the hammers, Flumes is meant to be a fairly early game tech after all, I'll fix that in the next release.

Well, I think that Units and Buildings are going to be the hardest, so you shouldn't do those unless you really, really want them in now. Finding info on the actual civilizations/territories should be easy enough, so if you could do that it would be much appreciated :goodjob:. I'll be able to handle the diplo (at least a unique greeting for each leader, if not totally unique text) soon enough and release these changes all at once :).

I fixed limelight operator and made librarian able to fight (seems a bit buggy though). Also changed the Convergence cost and may add a unique world wonder for each civ except Ravinian instead if the Convergence as the Convergence really was just Saint Dane's goal. I'll also clean out the civilopedia and leave just the relevant Pendragon information before working on UU/UB civilopedia entries.
