PH16: Guns Make a Man

We could try to snitch these two city spots, before the AI's get there.

Willem is creative, but we should be able to get a hold atleast for the two nearest gems.

For the second one below, I was originally thinking 1E for two grassland hills, but don't know if we can compete for them against Asoka's capital. The city has 4 lakes (3f 2g with lighthouse) in both cases.

i like both of those sites so let's do it.

I think we should grab as fast as possible any and all land we can.

see, THIS is why it's "only prince."

"Looker" comment:
Space for 6 cities, not bad... :D
pholk, ya didn't accidentally pick small as the world size, didn't you?

There seems to be a last open slot ... I am grabbing it :)

Dammit!

May I ask why not ON the gem, picking up the animals as well as the same amount of gems? An unpillagable :) is always nice.

And  at mapsize...

Can't... throw... away... commerc.... ugh...

No, but we already have horses in the south, so second source isn't worth the gems. I'm sure we can cotrol all three eventually, it just might take a bit more time.

I change research from Hunting to BW, we can use it quicker than Hunting. We only need the jumbos when we reach happy cap.

I then wander around aimlessly for a few turns exploting and slaying wolves.

Decide that a settler now is a good idea to get the gems before Willem.

Founder of Buddhism found.

BW in and Pottery is selected.

We have copper :goodjob:

I stop once the settler is done, I'd go round again actually.

Alternatively, we could throw 6 turns in a barracks and swap at size 4.

Do we want to send him here, decision for whoever is next???

I'd say we settle gems site, and build another settler instantly for the stone. We can build barracks and some axemen once these two spots are ours.

Btw. Does the stone mean that I get my Pyramids? :p

And r_rolo1 is up next.

good turns ~ i agree on taking that gems site, and w/meiz about grabbing our city to the east. after that, even though we need two or more quick cities, i think *maybe* we could see about the pyramid. depends on hook up of stone, etc.

oh, and thanks, meiz, but here's a proper setlist (mostly so i don't have to look too far for the next one)

Roster
pholkhero
ozbenno >> just played
rolo >> UP NOW
meiz >> on deck
White Dragon
GreyFox

Why?
Thus, the variant rules: In this game, we will be starting TWO (2) world wars. Once we reach Gunpowder (w/o “unreasonable delay”), we must declare on any 3 empires. Once all those three have been defeated, we declare on the other three. We can only win by conquest.
Emphasis is mine. We only are allowed to start 2 wars, , but i don't see anything saying that we only can fight 2 wars :p

P.S BTW you know any way of making the AI not dow us, especially when we are going to inevitably squeeze cities against them like in here? :D

no, if they declare, that's one thing, but no pre-emptive war before the first World War. the spirit of the game is to fight two major world wars against first one half, and then the other half of the world.

oh, provoke ~ sure, that's fine.

didn't see that part! :p

just can't enter a tile that has their city in it
