Start a new game without me. I am officially dropping out. Something is wrong with my computer it will not do attachments and gives me a blue error screen every time I try and has to be ctrl-alt-delete rebooted to get out of it. If anyone has ever heard of such a problem let me know: norton antivirus and scan disk did not pick up anything, but this computer crashes every time it tries to do attachments. Most awful.

Sorry gang. If I get the attacher back I will pass this old game on to Joe (so call your next game Pioneer2 or something) and y'all can play two games at once, otherwise my weekend is sunk in customer service calls.

I dont know what to tell you SB, I've never had that problem nor anything similar. I would bet it has something to do with PTW though. It does NOT sound like a virus at all.

Wrong command decision. I sent a NEW game, with Wildfire's name on it, obviously missing his post somehow in the chaos.

Okay, Joe, it's yours, and if someone can just find a player willing to play Persia under Wildfire's name, get the e-mail to us, and so forth, we're underway. Werdhertz?

you guys have no idea how bad this sucks, seeing these posts and knowing it should have been me!!! I had a great starting position with a hut right there.

Yeah, well I don't think this is PTW based problem - we can't attach photos to our emails and I can't attach anything to civfanatics. I scan disked, nortoned, downloaded upgrades for windows ME, and upgraded to internet explorer 6 - all to no avail.

I have ordered extra memory and put a request for help into dell.

Enjoy yourselves. I am watching nature programs with my wife while defragging. Wish you were me?

One problem: mauiduck doesnt seem to be with us. I sent him a friendly PM to inform him its his turn, but I guess he didnt see it.

Seems these PBEM games might work better with fewer people, who want to play all night.

I am now rethinking doing 8 people in a PBEM. It could be horribly, horribly slow...

Anyway, what do we want to do for tonight? Start a new one with 4 players (Rich, cg, GMN and me)?

I saw Maui online AFTER I emailed, apparently he isn't very interested. I second that notion, JoeSpaniel, I'd be able to go until about 10pm (I have a high school entrance exam tomorrow, so no all-nighter for me), but on Saturday it'll be a long night for me....
