I was going to bed at the time... I was waiting on JMaltman to do his turn... but he didnt... then lost connection Guess I have to try and do my turn earlier...

Uploader also seems to be down....

Say does anyone know what does and doesnt happen when you miss a turn?? I have never ever missed one on a pittboss game...

If you miss your turn things keep building, and anything queued up (both buildings and units) do their stuff. If a worker finishes something, then he just stands there for the turn. If a city finishes building something and there is nothing in the queue I'm not entirely sure what happens, but I think it picks something from the things it would normally recommend and starts building that. But it might work on not building anything at all. I can't remember.

It just saves the shields until you log in and set sometihing to build. IIRC.

The beakers just pile up until you select a technology. You don't wind up actually losing any.

How? I don't see what you gain by not logging in for enough time to build up unspent beakers.

You can gain a lot from saving up hammers... if that is how it works...

It's the same result as if you were logging in and actually having the hammers be put towards something each turn. Except by not logging in none of your units are doing anything, and you're not making decisions on what differing things to build, and not making changes to civics or trades or any of that stuff.
Basically not logging in has no benefits at all. Only negatives.

And yesterday evening tried 5 time to connect ... but, despite in civstats.com appear that I was logged in, that's not true - I received just a message "Out of sync" and couldn't load further the game data.

There are problems with my Intertnet connection. I can get the line to stay up long enough for me to dial out to play my turn on another Pitboss server

I will restore the game to last saved restore turn.
