There might be an autosave available, or a manual save a few turns earlier, depending on how long ago it was. I don't actually know what year it was, will have to jump into the game to find out.
 
Someone needs to fix their firewall so others can join when they are on line...You know who you are. ;)
 
ive been on a couple of times but it disconnects from pitboss these last 2 times, might be because of me having too much stuff running at once.

I think it's time to talk geopolitical. I haven't explored the entire continent quite yet, but it seems I'm at the coast, but at a bay (a 'penlake' so to speak), and you two are the extend. That means we would be the first target for many potential warmongers. Therefore I think it's of great tactical importance to sign a semi-permanent peace treaty for, say, 50 turns, so that we know we can trust each other, and possibly even support each other. Otherwise we might be digging our own graves. How about it?

C'mon Robi D, help me out here. Meleager will have a hard time conquering me, but he does have the advantage, and then you'll be faced with a Roman Empire on your doorstep twice as big. We both have our unique unit in this period as well, so an excellent opportunity to use it this period.

Besides, if you agree to help me out, it'll be easy to find a third partner, and perhaps even a fourth. I'm sure there are some other civs close to him to the east.

What did I do wrong actually? I couldn't have more defense than I already have. Besides, it's impossible for me to withstand an attack from both Rome and Greece. I did make myself into an interesting target by spawning Judaism. Should I not have done that? Should I have played worse to avoid getting invaded? :crazyeye: Or am I just victim of fate? Of the fact that I started next to Rome in the first place... (And of the fact that we should be playing on a huge map with 18 civs!) Or did my diplomacy fail?

I don't know. All I know is that I hate having to bail out this early. :cry: It could've been the most fun game I would have ever played.
 
Or we have found an interesting way to pay homage :hatsoff: to a player with much greater skill then either of us.
 
I believe it was fate.

Someone needs to be the first to go. We both have aggressive early UUs. So its only natural we will want to use aggressive tactics to further our aims. You just happen to be close.

There was one other reason for picking you. We hear you are a good player, so we were afraid that unless we took you out early on, you would end up taking us out. You already have huge amounts of culture. You beat me to my second (and third) cities. The only advantage we had was militarily, so we used it.

Well you could probably take it back another month to when i first ran into Matrix and discussed the idea with Meleager.
