How exactly does it work in a SP game, if you turn it on? Does it kill pop points, units, or both? Is it limited to one Civ or can it strike more than one? Does it only move across roads/sea routes, or does it strike randomly aross the board? Or does it only move to nearby cities, making it a localized thing? Do you get a message when it hits, even if it hits another Civ?

I'm interested, it could sound like a cool idea if done right.

It can kill units and population - very nasty. It can strike many civs. You get a cool message when it hits although I prefer not to get it and it does not show up when it hits another civ (only volcanoes do that) I THINK it is random throughout the map.

EDIT>>BTW, to tell you how nasty it is, I had 10 out of 30 cities experience plague and it is just a killer. It almost made me want to quit but with time, it slowly disappeared.

NOTE: Some of the cities had it for one or two turns.

I've played several games and no plauge. I checked my options, didn't see anything for it..

What do volcanoes do? Do they just destroy your city completely and block your units?

Was there an option for either plague or volcanoes? I haven't seen it in options menus. Is this an editor-only setting?

plague :yes
volcanoes : in the main game but can be changed in the editor

IIRC plague is default as off, and you can change it in the editor.

@ Civrules: How many citizens/units did it kill?

I don't remember how many citizens it killed but it did not kill as much units. It killed *about* five IIRC.
