Plans for more map types?

Are there plans to add more map types in the future? In particular i'm thinking of what Civ calls a "fractal map", where you get long snaky sections of land that create very interesting (and confusing) map layouts.

Maybe one of our clever mod community could do this as well (they seem to be able to do pretty much everything).

The game is very moddable, it's true, and map scripts can definitely be buit by the community. There is some work ongoing for new (premade) maps in the community and in Mohawk (I think), not too sure about Map scripts but a "Fractal-like" map script shouldn't be too hard to build.
