Have been chopping my planted tress in my latest game and was surprise to see that they are still giving me shields. But not all of them. It seems that those that I planted earlier are the ones that gives me shields. Anyone can confirm that? And also, how many turns must elapse before the trees starts to give shields again? Seems like I can produce that courthouse in the highly corrupted cities if I make use of this. Can someone test this?

i think you can only harvest trees from each square once. it doesnt matter if you planted the forest or it is natural.

That is what I thought too. But apparently, it is not true. I know I planted that forest on the dye.

Hey wait, you are saying I can harvest planted trees if one did not exist when the map is generated? Hmm... that sounds like a possibility. Anyone can confirm that?

If you clear a forest that existed: You get a shield bonus

If you plant a forest where none existed before then clear it: You get a shield bonus

If you plant a forest where one existed before then clear it again: No shield bonus.

you can harvest each tile once. it doesnt matter if the forest is original or planted.

so:

1. you can chop down a forest on a tile that was on the map when generated. that is the only time you can harvest it. you cannot replant and harvest again.

2. you can plant a forest and harvest it once.

basicall each tile can be exploited 1 time no matter what the source of the forest.
