PLAY.com only "processing" it

Damn im annoyed , whats the point of pre ordering if you get it late? my order is just being processed which mean wont get it now until saturday at the earliest. I Would cancel if i could but to late now

I know the pain - That's why I NEVER preorder a game from play.com again. Only cheap games and DVDs.

sometimes pre ordering is a pain because sometimes they over pre order they don't have enough stock to fill all orders and it gets backordered than you have to go fishing around to all other sites to find it.i hope that dont happen to me just pre ordered last week from gogamer.com similar type site to play.com in the uk

I've just cancelled my Amazon pre order because they haven't dispatched today and I can now only get the game Friday at the earliest. Might as well go to Game or PC World and save the postage.

pre-ordering it is not the same as getting it earlier than others. pre-ordering it simply means putting in an order for it before it is released. what happens after that is another debate.

We can't get it in the US until next week, so why complain about getting it on Saturday? You're still getting it before a large portion of people who also preordered it.

I didn't want to run the risk of waiting for the post and not having it over the weekend though. Might as well save the postage and go to GAME.

I had forgotten I had pre-ordered from Gameplay, and placed an order with Play

Dont have either copy yet, but both are past their cancellation point, Games has shipped and Plays is still processing.

Teach me to pre-order months ahead

Pre-ordered with play months ago and changed credic cards and forgot to update the card details on play (arse.......).

Got a declined e-mail last night and immediately reordered and its out of stock and although they had the correct details BEFORE the order was going to be processed I now have to wait..............and am on holiday next week

What a ridiculous thing to say. So if the US aren't getting it, we should bow down and be grateful? I'm just happy that our US overlords are allowing us to get the expansion at all, let alone a week early. Numpty.

Let's see how you feel if you have to wait until the 30th for the game rather than getting it on the 27th.

As for Play, I've been thinking a possible way around thier late delivery would be to buy the expansion from a Game store today or tomorrow, and then when you get the Play one take it back to Game (with the seal still intact, obviously) and get a refund. That way you're still paying the cheap Play price but getting it on day of release.

Methinks people are to quick to moan. I'm as excited about BTS as the next CivFanatic, especially after all the recent threads by Australians kind enough to leak some details, but those (and this is a large majority of CivFanatics) who have been hotly anticipating it since it's announcement have been waiting for months, so a few days is hardly going to matter. I thought the release date would be the end of July/start of August, so if my play.com order arrives tomorrow or even next week, it'll still be early in my view...

Only..erm...16 hours to go and will have a long weekend to play, eh?
