The issue of legality is irrelevant. The game manufacturers have not released an official no-cd patch, and as such Civfanatics policy regards such software as piracy.

In short, you won't find any help here on this and this thread will be closed as soon a moderator discovers it.

While not a mod personally, I will say on behalf of the community of posters here this we hope you don't take this as a rude welcome.

I bet you guys 10$ he went to a certain website (I wont post it) that gives you .iso's which you use an image mounter.. for the games to work you need a no-cd crack...

go buy the freaking game..

Yes. Disabling it allowed the server to handle more traffic which showed up after Conquests was released.

You don't know for a fact that he hasn't purchased the games. I personally paid full value for Civ I, II, III, PTW and C3C and I would love a no-cd patch for the sake of convenience, as many I'm sure would. However, since such software isn't officially sanctioned, I'll having nothing to do with it.
