Not necessarily. Armies come easy when lots of fighting occur.
 
Ok...update...

I have played as Char...leading Alexi to a Diplomacy victory!!!

I succesfully launched an assault on the girls(not being sexist or anything, they were just closest)...No Bugs to report...

I did notice that the girls units are Hella powerful in comparison to Alexis...All they used was "Damsels" and a few scattered Xenas(Which I guess are Girl warriors)...

The Barbarian MU is all but worthless, as they never succesfully kiled ANYTHING...the bombers are way more powerful than the fighters...Maybe too powerful...

And the girls slammed out Wonders like nobody's buisness...I got the Big Statue...Comic Book Collection(which doesnt make sence that I still have to get more "Comic book collections" after it...) and Theory of Evolution(Kid to something)...all the buildings worked fine...no units issues...except the girls are TOUGH...my dragons and salamanders were not as useful as Id like, and the flame throwers are not strong enough IMO...but I did manage to take most of the island the girls start on...

BU went full force on Senso, it was kewl to watch in DeBug...

thats about it...Oh and the teachers were taken out early, but I forget who did it...

{edit} I just wanna add, that I really like the units you guys are using...a HUGE change from warrior-->spear---> Horse etc...one question...do any units upgrade?...I was too involved in massive war to check...and I never really had any money anyway...
 
Well, you were playing as Char, and Char's supposed to be powerful early in teh game. By the fourth age, which is when the girls get damsels, Char's practically useless, since they only get one new unit. Here's a list, so you can understand teh time-strengths better:

Char: Strong in the 2nd age, gets weaker the furhter you advance
Horse: Strong in the 2nd age, gets weaker the further you advance
Galaxy Wars Club: Strong in the 2nd age, gets weaker teh further you advance
Boy Union: Slightly weak in teh 2nd age, strong in the 3rd age, and moderately strong in the 4rth age
Freak Attack: Weak in the 1st and 2nd ages, strong in the 3rd and 4rth
UF: Weak in the 1st and 2nd ages, slightly powerful in the 3rd age, and kinda weak in the 4rth age.
Rebs: Weak in the 1st and 2nd ages, kinda weak in the 3rd and 4rth ages
Senso: Strong in the 2nd and 4rth ages. Moderately powerful every other time.
 
Well then it was right on...I was dominating at the start, but after the damsels came out, things got hard...I still won tho, so other than tech costs it looked great...Im gonna try Senso next...

As far as technical probs...none yet...
 
The thing is, the girls are only a threat in the 1st and early 2nd age. Then they kind of dwindle, until the 4th age, where they make a come back.

I was going to suggest to Omega to make the Barbarians stronger, or at least cost less, and no upkeep. (like 1 shield)

Probably just make them stronger. How about 4:2 for their stats?
 
And the soccer players increase porportionatly?

Probably.
 
I also assume the mercenary's stats increase a small bit, right?
