Sorry if this is off-topic (and/or plain naive), but I was trying to play an old BOTM (BOTM2, which I never quite finished) and find I can no longer open any of my old save files (not even the downloaded start file):- It keeps saying something about file locking to protect system assets:- LOAD FAILED.
I still appear to have the requisite BOTM version (3.13 IIRC), which loads when I click the MOD. I guess this is something to do with HOF mode (?):- I have the latest version of HOF. My System works fine for latest BOTM so I don't want to have to resort to re-installing game components or clicking items that might invalidate future games if I forget to unclick them. Does this mean the old games are now inaccessible?

If an old game was played with an old version of the HoF Mod, then you have to use that version to replay it. You can't use the latest Mod. BOTM 2 was played with HoF Mod version 3.13.001, so you need to download an install that version. There is no problem with having multiple HoF Mods installed concurrently, and each game start file will automatically select the correct one when you double click it to start the game.

The other option is to download the WorldBuilder save, which you can find linked on the Results page for that game. You can play the WorldBuilder save with any (or no) version of the HoF Mod. Put it in your WorldBuilder saves folder and load it using Play A Scenario.

That's great. Thanks. Will probably restart with the Worldbuilder.
