Please Delete Scythia From The Game

Even if you don't play them, they can still ruin your game by stating next to you and rushing you. Its so strong, even the stupid AI can do it successfully. There's no defense [...] Period.
If you "delete it", you can't have 'Bad Luck'.

{But without the option to have 'Bad Luck', you are stealing yourself the option to have 'Good Luck'. [...] Logic.}

I don't think an AI Scythia is really that much of a problem, but I do agree that in human hands Scythia is so powerful that the game becomes too easy. When a Civ makes Deity play a total joke, a nerf is probably in order. Cutting the healing from kills down to 25 HP would be a good start. Even with that change I would still consider Killer of Cyrus a strong contender for the most powerful unique ability in the game. I mean, consider a unique unit that healed 50 HP on kills and got +5 strength against wounded units. That's a pretty solid unique, right? Well, Scythia gets that for every unit it ever builds. That's just way too much. I am no believer in trying to make every single Civ equally powerful, but I do think Scythia needs to be reined in a bit.

When you think that in the original game Scythia could also sell Units for Gold you have to wonder if Firaxis play-tested the game at all...

But yes, it still needs some nerfing. Killer of Cyrus needs to be toned down, but also I suggest it should only be the Saka Horse Archer that gets 2 Units - however to partly compensate they should make the unit a bit more useful, like maybe Range 2, equivalent to Archer.

I have no issue playing next to them and find them more reliable and less annoying than Gilgamesh. So I disagree with your SP notion unless what you are saying is its not fair everyone can win at Deity with them. Any such comparisons to others are futile IMO, you should only ever compare your results to your rules.

For Multi Player, I do not play it but know it gets banned. So it is a shame it is so OP it gets banned... I think that is a sign something needs nerfing.

IDC, I in fact quite enjoy this sturdy lady next to me.

What would be better is reconsidering the balance between horse and melee units first, then worry if one civ that uses those is OP.

Though, there are plenty of things to question in there, none of them end up with the need to ask to 'delete' a civ from the game.

Yes, you're right of course. I thinking nerfing Scythia healing to 25hp and then giving a general penalty to cavalry class units attacking cities (like in Civ V) would go a long way.

In MP, sure.
They have never been a threat to worry about in solo games I have played on very large maps (e.g. 230 x 115).

So it's even more OP than I originally thought. I've only tried it once, and habitually exclude Kongo from the game setup.

Kongo is beyond broken if a specific set of conditions is met (which can happen more often than not, as Reliquaries is a popular belief for AI-founded religions).

Rome and Germany are strong but Scythia is something else. What an absolute joke. Rush Horsemen and spam until everyone around you is dead. That's all - nothing else too it. So stupidly overpowered even a first time player could win on Immortal by doing it.

They should IMHO not be so much "nerfed" but made more diverse:

(1) Reduce production bonus from 100% (2 for 1) to 50%, but include heavy cavalry to make them more diverse
(2) Make Horse Archers actually worthwhile
(3) remove the healing ability, instead increase flanking bonuses for Scythia

No, don't delete or nerf Scythia. In fact, I'm going to go start a game as Scythia right now.
