Please HELP!!

I'm having serious connection issues. I'm able to get into games and play goes well at first but its not long before theres lag and each time they all tell me its me. My connection is decent, its cable not DSL but i thought it would be good enough. My computer is real fast...

Why the issues? Would wireless connection slow it down at all?

I had this problem and in my desperation connected to my wireless router by a cable rather than use the wireless. I seem to have cured it. I suggest trying that first just to see.
Trouble is I now have a cable running through the house!
