--Pokemon Game Thread--

In my pearl game I eventually had a fighting force Dialga, Dialga, Palkia, and Girantina assisted by shiny Alakazam and Blissie. Strategic trading payed off that time. The later two are almost as good because of their weird stat balance.

Usually I don't play with legendaries like that, but I liked showing off that you could get good stuff off of the WTC if you knew how create a proper trade offer, at the time everyone thought only losers who wanted a legendary for their l5 junk Pokemon where on there.

Most of the time I don't use legendaries, simply because catching them in the first place is heck of boring. I prefer to just knock them out if they're a mandatory battle, or ignore them if not.

b-b-b-b-but...How do you catch 'em all then? :crazyeye:

Well, they're legendary, right? So I just claim that I went to look for them and they weren't there. Oak is silly for including spots for mythical Pokemon on his Pokedex anyway. If these findings discredit his research, I will not shed any tears for that old scroat.

Current Normal-type team status:

STARDUST - Linoone - Lvl 37
JUNG - Slaking - Lvl 38
CLAUDIA - Spinda - Lvl 38
CIRRUS - Castform - Lvl 37
DEFCON - Dodrio - Lvl 37
HANNAH - Girafarig - Lvl 37

7 badges, and I went to look for Kyogre but it turns out he never existed. The old man on Mt. Pyre was obviously senile. :crazyeye:

I dont like Kadabra/Alakazam because they die so easily to a single hit. They have excellent Spf Attacks and good speed but I find it infuriating that they can't live a single physical move. And their Spf Defence is not at all impressive. I suppose Recover does negate that flaw but you can't always recover.

That's why I hate Alakazams if you have them. Also, I started a Fire Red game a while ago and I'm at the Elite Four, and here's what my team is in order by lv.

Articuno- 52
Charizard- 48
Nidoking- 46
Dragonair-44 (just won't stinkin evolve)
Vileplume- 39
Primeape- 39

Once I train my pokemon and beat the Elite Four I could take on ANY of you.

You wish. :p

And Dragonair evolves at level 55. :p

I'm going to post my team soon, they are nearly all level 48 now.

I played a few pokemon games..
Red/Blue were good. Geodude was my favorite.
There was also that Pokemon photographer one for the N64, that was also pretty fun :)

You mean pokemon snap.

Do it without any legendaries and you have yourself a match.

I restarted that firered game because of getting to far behind the elite four. I'ts annoying to try and train your pokemon to beat them. Here's my new team, and I just beat Erika.

Pidgeotto-29
Wartortle-27
Butterfree-24
Vileplume-24
Ekans-18
Abra-12

Edit: got the Abra.

Read my ninja edit.

My Absol has Jolly nature. Unless your Hera has Speed benifiting nature as well, Absol attacks first.

Not really, it all depends on EV stats and since absol EV points is atk.. you cant make it reach its potential because its his nature Doesn't match it EV points but he would be a bit faster but not much.

I started a new game of Pokemon Crystal, at the moment my team consists of
Poliwag
Phanpy
Pidgeotto
Croconaw
Growlithe

all level 20-22 after beating 3 gyms.
I'm going to dump the Croconaw when I find a pokemon I'd like to replace him with. Unfortunately the egg I got from the daycare contained an Igglybuff instead of a good pokemon

Azzaman, Why are you dumping your starter pokemon and what are you going to replace it with

I dump starters all the time. I often wish you started with a L5 Ratata or Pidgey and had to work your way up. A lot of the time I'll dump my starter on the first playthrough of a new game just to make it more interesting.

I always trade my starte for a lv 5 magikarp

I did that my second playthrough of Red. I had Garrados to fight Misty with, Garrados beats wartortle any day.

Garydos has attacks the only thing a lvl 5 magikarp can do is splash, but nothing happened!

It is like playing with Albania on HOI2, whatever you do you will always get owned

But by the time you can get magicarp you probably have more pokemon other than your starter. I don't know any pokemon game where he is available immediately.
